What is it?
This all-new PowerStep application from AMP Research is designed specifically for 2009-2013 Ram trucks. Part # 75138-01A
Why you need it?
The AMP Research PowerStep automatically extends when a door opens making it easy to enter and exit the truck cab. Retracts when the door close, storing itself out of site behind the rocker panel. It comes with low-profile LED lamps that illuminate the step when it’s dark.
How is it made?
First, like all AMP products, it’s designed and built in America. The running board is an extruded aluminum design with twin-internal ribs for added stiffness and has a high-texture powder-coat finish for maximum grip in wet weather. Supporting up 600 lb per side, PowerStep linkage arms are made of high-strength, die-cast aluminum alloy with a military-spec, anodized and Teflon® finish to resist corrosion and precision stainless-steel pivot pins ride on maintenance-free self-lubricating bushings and it’s covered by a 5-year/60,000-mile warranty.

Just this past Saturday, TundraStop.com – in collaboration with AMP Research, DubzDirect.com, Toyo Tires, and Fuel Off-Road Wheels – hosted their second annual meet and truck show in Brea, California. The show included too many 2nd generation Tundras to count, some very nice 1st gen Tundras, some dedicated off-road trucks, and even a couple of very nice Toyota Tacomas.
